SUMMARY
Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of the business office and human resources activity by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Computes, classifies, records and verifies numerical data in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage the business office and all functions that relate to that office including (but not limited) to financial, AR/AP, budget monitoring / planning and reporting daily census in My Unity.
Is responsible for all resident billing, collections and deposits of all monies received from resident billing.
Is Responsible for processing all residential & personal care refunds
Responsible for the processing of all invoices and accounts payable. Prepare and monitors accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.
Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
Reconciles all bank statements, petty cash and resident fund accounts
Is responsible for the financial qualifying and the benevolence fund applications and processing.
Responsible for Long Term Care billing.
Assist H/R with Recruits, test and fill vacant positions. Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. Keep record of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plans, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations and employee statistics for government reporting. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
Is responsible jointly with H/R for all files, residential, accounts payable, employee for their accuracy.
Is responsible to back-up and work with H/R in all business office functions and responsibly.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises the Receptionist and Business Office personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees: planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
