Talent Acquisition Specialist

Seeking to hire a bilingual (English and Spanish) individual to recruit, coordinate, and help our teams hire skilled tradespersons and other people to our growing teams. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with our business leaders to help them identify, recruit, and hire great people.

This role is for someone interested and committed to talent acquisition, recruiting and workforce development of craft workers and tradespersons in the construction, building service & repair, and manufacturing industries. What you will do:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to recruit and fill staffing needs and build candidate pipelines
  • Develop strong working relationships with TA Team and hiring managers and support hiring efforts (i.e., requisitions, Applicant Tracking System (ATS) administration, phone screenings, interviewing support, scheduling interviews, drafting and proofreading offer letters, pre-employment checks, assessments)
  • Create attention-grabbing and persuasive advertisements with an understanding of the targeted audience; seek appropriate advertising venues; grow recruiting networks; post job advertisements to appropriate advertising channels
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Branding department to develop marketing; engage candidates through social media; actively demonstrate positive branding practices
  • Serve as a liaison to the community and managers relative to talent acquisition and recruiting
  • Source for candidates (i.e., social media and other various platforms)
  • Meet with managers, applicants, students, and prospective and current employees; listen to their story, ask questions, and share the story of ColonialWebb and our industry
  • Act as point of contact for interested candidates
  • Provide other general HR support to the HR Business Partner
  • Coordinate and attend career and job fair events and recruiting activities
  • Research, identify, and partner with organizations to reach prospective employees. Organize, coordinate and plan events to represent CW.
  • Provide support with new hire onboarding as necessary

What we are looking for:

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish languages (reading and writing)
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills (including verbal and writing skills)
  • Attention to detail skills
  • Ability to work independently and execute concurrent activities and projects in a timely manner
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and proficiency with technology (i.e., Microsoft Office, internet researching)
  • Degree in an applicable field of study as well as previous recruiting or human resources (HR) experience is nice to have, but not required
