The AI Director will lead artificial intelligence endeavors, inspiring others to embrace innovative thinking and strive for high performance. The AI director will help shape strategy through sustainable intelligent solutions, machine learning programs, strategic engagements, and research and development. The AI Director will also help grow and maintain the CAES AT&E customer base, realizing new opportunities and capabilities, driving growth of AI strategy and impacting broader strategic goals for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI technology development team in the creation and testing of AI processing frameworks and applications for DoD and commercial applications.
- Provide technical leadership and vision for CAES AT&E product development and deployment.
- Interface with the design, software, firmware, hardware and systems engineers to develop test methodologies and strategies for AI-related development efforts.
- Interface with CAES senior leadership and with key DoD and commercial customers to establish overall needs, goals and strategies for AI-related development programs.
Qualifications
- BS and MS in engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, etc.) or computer science.
- 15 years of experience in aerospace, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and applications development for DoD and commercial systems.
- Active DoD secret clearance.
- SAP and SCI clearance eligible.
- Development and test experience in missile guidance and control strongly desired.
- Missile OFP and algorithm development experience strongly desired.
- Missile aerodynamics and modeling experience strongly desired.
- Deep technical experience with missile seeker hardware and flight testing strongly desired.
- Ability to manage and contribute to GNC sub-technologies such as sensor management, tracking and filtering, GPS/navigation, guidance, operational CONOPS, and host platform communication.
