Summary: The President's Office and the CMU Foundation manage a number of events used to both network with community partners as well as fundraise. These events include table sponsorships at external events such as galas as well as internal events such as athletics hospitality suites, luncheons and fundraisers. The Event and Engagement Manager coordinates the communications coming from the President's office in regards to this portfolio of events to include invites, tracking of rsvp's, ticketing, and the guest experience at each of those events. The Event and Engagement Manager also will create and manage event standards and policies across campus to ensure a consistent and professional experience for all CMU partners and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Manages the Hospitality and Event Workbook

Creates and manages all invitations to all events, ensuring the invite comes from the appropriate office and is of a high standard (formatting, spelling, in alignment with brand standards, etc.).
- Coordinates details with reservations and catering (internal and external), ensuring all items are within budget.

Manages all communications with guests to include responses to invites and confirmations.
- Manages all ticketing for events to guests, including working in University tickets for e-ticket and paper ticket distribution.

Is familiar and knowledgeable about CMU donors, partners, and friends in order to assist the President and CMU Foundation office with guest lists for events and tables.
- Creates an etiquette standards and practice policy document for campus.

Provides outreach to all CMU departments to increase awareness and provide assistance on meeting etiquette standards and practices.
- Manages and provides oversight of President's sponsorship account at CMU Foundation.

Spot checks CMU events across departments to provide quality control on etiquette standards and practices.
- Assists President's Office with events and community outreach as needed (hospitality gifts, cards, peach deliveries, holiday gifts etc.)
- Assists the CMU Foundation as needed with events and fundraising.
- Assists the VP of External Relations as needed with VIP functions.

Represents the President's Office and Foundation at events in order to support the university and cultivate donors.

Travel, weekend and evening work expected to oversee events and projects.
Minimum Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Knowledge of office and productivity software; proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent writing, oral and interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, students, parents, and the general public

Experience writing and editing
- Two years experience in event management
