Columbia Gorge Family Medicine is seeking an enthusiastic PA or NP to join our dynamic primary care team in beautiful Hood River, Oregon. We are a busy, full spectrum, private family medicine practice with 5 physicians, 4 physician assistants, 1 behavioral health consultant, and 1 diabetic educator. We have proudly cared for individuals and families throughout the Columbia River Gorge for over 30 years. - Evening urgent care coverage once per week (5-7pm)
- Weekend urgent care coverage once per month (Saturday 8am-2pm)
- Fluency in Spanish language strongly preferred
This position is responsible for providing healthcare services to patients under the direction of a physician and in accordance with licensure and credentialing by performing the following duties.
- Takes medical history, examines patients, records results, makes diagnoses, and decides on care plan and follow-up procedures.
- Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress.
- Keeps appropriate records and interprets diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and blood work
- Performs therapeutic procedures according to training such as injections, suturing and wound care, long-acting contraceptive devices, etc.
- Exercises professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
- Provides appropriate health education for diagnoses made.
- Is responsible for accurate coding of visits.
Required: Current state PA / NP license, fluency in English, 2 years experience as a PA / NP, experience with Epic
