Position: Food and Beverage Supervisor
Responsible for the supervision of all personnel within their department. Schedules and instructs all service personnel on an assigned shift. Assigns stations to servers. Greets guests as they enter the dining area and seats by rotation. Notifies service personnel of price changes and handles guest complaints. Insures proper service and food presentation. Assists service personnel when needed. Observes service personnel performance and appearance and makes recommendations to Restaurant Manager and/or Food and Beverage Director.
Duties:
Schedules dining room personnel
Hires and trains new employees
Insures on-going training of personnel
Councils and terminates as necessary
Insures proper service and makes adjustments to guests checks in event of legitimate guest complaint
Greets and seats guests
Insures that food is prepared and served according to the specifications
Maintains departmental payroll
Maintains labor statistics per Marriott specifications
Supervises dining room area during meal periods
Assigns stations to service personnel
Guarantees stations are sufficiently supplied
Checks for cleanliness of stations
Takes active part in pre-meal meetings
Assist all staff throughout shift
Knows all menu and bar items and prices
Conforms to all liquor laws
Knows all hours of operations pertaining to the Hotel
Knows seating chart and table numbers
Insures all dining area equipment is in good working condition
