About the Job
We have an exciting new opening for an Outpatient Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) to work out of our DownTown Clinic in Medford, Oregon. The Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) will conduct ASAM Assessments and develop treatment plans; provide individual and group therapy; and actively participate in consultation regarding new program implementation, including providing ongoing support and monitoring of clinical services. The CADC position must demonstrate knowledge of and proficiency in utilizing DSM 5 diagnostic criteria, as well as knowledge of evidence-based substance use disorder treatment approaches. The CADC will manage a caseload of up to 30 clients, use a harm reduction model for services, and provide strength-based, trauma-informed care. The CADC will also provide drug testing as required by the clients’ program(s).
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (Full Time, Day)
What You’ll Make
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE/Credentials.
Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).
About the Program
Our Outpatient Program provides assessment and evaluation, treatment plan development, and provides clinically indicated outpatient therapy, case management, skills training, and psychiatric (medication) services. The Psychiatric Services Team operates as a branch within the Outpatient Program, specializing in psychiatric, nursing, and medication services. Psychiatric services are provided both on-site and remotely through telemedicine.
ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
What You’ll Need
- MUST be certified as a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) through MHACBO
- MUST have SIX (6) months of CADC work experience
Successful applicants MUST have the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, sit, stand, walk, reach; as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds. It may require the ability to occasionally climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable. In addition, you must successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.
