Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, a Lead Admission Specialist oversees the undergraduate admission specialists' and data entry processor's workflow, processing, and procedures. The Lead plans, organizes, assigns, and monitors daily work assignments to ensure University deadlines are met and Campus and USG required guidelines are implemented and adhered to. They establish and monitor production and quality goal and offers feedback with one-on-one coaching sessions and use of data reports; offers input that will be used with other metrics to the Director of Admission for their completing performance evaluations. This position will collaborate with all offices/departments in the Enrollment Management Division to help facilitate the seamless flow of information and processes regarding education programs and services.
Responsibilities
Significant duties and responsibilities include: Plans, organizes, assigns, and monitors daily work assignments of Admission Specialist and Data Entry Processors to ensure University deadlines are met and Campus and USG required guidelines are implemented and adhered to.; Establishes and monitors production and quality goal and offers feedback with one-on-one coaching sessions and use of data reports.; Offers input that will be used with other metrics to the Director of Admission for their completing performance evaluations.; Reviews applications for admission of all prospective student types, confirming the information provided is accurate. Uses current and appropriate admissions policies and procedures to determine eligibility for acceptance to the University.; Manage and perform evaluations of high school and college credits, test scores, and other admission credentials.; Stay abreast of current admissions policy and procedures and how they impact acceptance and denial to the University.; Stay up-to-date and implement the University System of Georgia Board of Regents admission guidelines and procedure.; Communicates with applicants, students, and families through written correspondence, e-mail, and face-to-face meetings in the Office of Admissions.; Advises prospective and current students on appropriate courses, credits, etc., concerning online and specialized education programs.; Acknowledging policies and procedures while reviewing documents to determine student's appropriate tuition classification.; Represent Office of Admission at CSU events such as Discovery Days, Orientations, and other events as deemed necessary.; Perform other duties as requested by management.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 3-5 years of work-related experience to this class of work.; Prior supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications include: Working with online and specialized education programs.; SCT Banner and imaging experience.; Experience working in a higher education.
Proposed Salary
The annualized salary range for this position is $40,000 - $43,000 and includes full benefits.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include: Ability to plan, organize, assign, and monitor daily work assignments for Admission Specialist and Data Entry.; Ability to guide, coach, and instruct Admission Specialist and Data Entry in managing their daily work assignments and work schedules.; Ability to offer quantitative and qualitative admissions data that demonstrates where goals have been achieved and areas that need further development.; Ability to collect, arrange, interpret, and present data that is relevant to the Office of Admission operations.; Knowledge of admissions policies and procedures.; Knowledge of enrollment management operations.; Ability to interpret policies and procedures and appropriately apply them to various programs.; Ability to make sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in performing duties are required.; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, administrators, faculty members, and others.; Ability to utilize multiple database/software systems.; Excellent written and oral communication skills.; Ability to use Microsoft tools-word, excel, power point.
