Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow proper protocols and safety measures during blood collection procedures
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of the laboratory
- Adhere to quality control and quality assurance guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen collection and handling
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or certification in phlebotomy
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques related to phlebotomy
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and recordkeeping
Note: Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred, but not required.
