SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Grill Cashier/Cook is responsible for providing internal and external guests with quality service and food. The Grill Cashier/Cook is also responsible for cash handling. The Grill Cashier/Cook’s performance is necessary to ensure guest satisfaction, profitability, and a positive, productive, and compliant work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are major duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive or restrictive.
- Prepares food items by grilling and frying methods.
- Prepares coffee and/or tea, wash and stack dishes, clean and scrub pots and pans.
- Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen or dining area.
- Portions arrange, garnish, and serve food to patrons.
- Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers, or griddles.
- Works as a Cashier when needed.
- Attends and satisfactorily completes all training assigned by the Grill Supervisor or Manager.
- Performs prep duties for their shift and the following shift.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
The Grill Cashier/Cook regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests. The Grill Cashier/Cook is required to reach with hands and arms, ascend/descend, climb and balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Grill Cashier/Cook is regularly required to do the light lifting of objects up to 75 pounds and remains in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where the noise levels vary from quiet to loud depending on the time of day, the specific location, and the amount of business. The Grill Cashier/Cook must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a smoke-filled environment. The workplace is also under constant surveillance both inside and outside the facility.
The Grill Cashier/Cook may be exposed to the risks associated with attempting to resolve contentious issues with difficult guests and staff members. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Professional appearance and presentation are required.
- Maintains a current Food Handler’s License.
- High School Diploma, or equivalent to include Home School Certificate.
