Core Responsibilities
- Performs overhead/underground physical labor construction such as: digs holes, lays foundations, places poles, lays cables, unreels, pulls and strings wire from pole to pole.
- Works to dismantle, move or remove aerial, underground ,or building wire, cable equipment, poles and hardware. Installs and replaces power supplies, converters and terminal boxes.
- Provides support to inspect existing grounds or makes new grounds according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) in order to protect employees, customers and equipment from electrical shock or damage.
- Completes associated paperwork with each work order in a timely manner in order to ensure all details of work are recorded for entry in the customer's account once the work is checked in.
- Operates and maintains installation of tools and construction equipment.
- Works with Developers and customers on infrastructure requirements to ensure services will be available to their commercial and residential dwellings.
- Adheres to Company procedures and safe work practices.
- Cleans, maintains and stocks vehicle and equipment in order to perform required duties.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
