We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to individuals who require support with daily activities and personal care. Your role will involve promoting independence, ensuring the well-being of our clients, and creating a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and document changes in client's health status
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation and laundry
- Escort clients to appointments or social outings
- Implement behavior management techniques when necessary
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining client confidentiality
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to different care settings (e.g., nursing homes, private residences)
- Experience in dementia care is a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
