Our editorial team is looking for writers to create fun, informative, and engaging Video Game News that our discerning audience demands, with the eye-catching aesthetic they crave. CBR operates at a rapid pace and is seeking writers who can produce high-quality articles under time constraints. The selected candidate will have tremendous career growth and internal development opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications
A passion for video games, writing, and a drive to grow within the industry
Broad working knowledge of Gaming (including major AAA titles, Marvel & DC games, retro games, JRPGs, Pokémon, Persona, Final Fantasy, Nintendo, FromSoftware, Rockstar, and Tabletop)
Up to date with new video game releases and video game news
The ability to analyze content and pull directly from the source material to back up claims
A sharp eye for grammatical details
Excellent command of the English language
Ability to write high-quality articles with swift turn-around times
Comfortable working in an entirely virtual environment
Should possess a general understanding of video game culture and strong research skills
Responsibilities
Write a minimum of 5 News stories per week in CBR’s house style (following the requisite training)
Please note that News stories are a minimum of 450 words
This will include fact-checking, formatting, linking, and image sourcing/very basic editing (sizing, brightness, etc.)
Brainstorm, pitch, and develop original content ideas that’ll be published on-site
Accept and apply any/all feedback received by the editorial team
Communicate openly and actively with the editorial team
