Member Service Representative

We are looking for a full-time team member to add to our Port Clinton branch team, but can also fill in at our Oak Harbor and Elmore branches as needed.

General Summary

Responsible for the efficient, accurate, and thoughtful handling of our members’ needs. Using your personal problem-solving style, you will work with our members in finding dignified solutions to any transactional or personal financial issues that may occur. By developing relationships with our members, and understanding our products and services, you will identify ways we can assist them in becoming financially independent.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides account services to member-owners by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks; answering questions in person or on telephone; referring to other services.
• Cross-sells products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining member-owners' needs; directing member-owner to a branch representative.
• Completes special requests by opening/closing accounts; providing special statements, copies, and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures.
• Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to Senior Member Service Representative; maintaining supply of cash and currency.
• Complies with operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions; auditing other tellers' currency; assisting in certification of proof.
• Maintains member-owner confidence and protects credit union operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have proven customer service skills and a minimum of 1 year customer service and cash-handling experience.
• Perform accurate data entry.
• Be able to travel to all branch locations.
• Be able to pass a background check.
• Be Bondable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
