Common Ground Gardens LLC is seeking to add several "Rockstar" members to our gardening team, from entry level to experienced for a Landscape Gardener position. Promotion to Lead Gardener or Crew Leader Position possible.

We seek motivated, team players, with a positive attitude who love plants and being outdoors. Must be willing and eager to learn, adaptable to changing situations, and have good problem solving skills. A good sense of humor is a huge plus! We work hard-but we like to have some laughs along the way! This is physically demanding work-outdoors-so along with the blissful spring and summer days- heat, bugs, wind, rain and cold, even snow-are part of the the whole package. This is challenging work but also very rewarding to see what you accomplish each day, and the joy it brings to our clients. We give people back the gift of time-and take away some of the stress of their busy lives.

Position summary:

Gardeners work in small teams and occasionally independently. Routine Gardener tasks include: hand weeding, deadheading, spring and fall cleanup, planting perennials and shrubs, installation of mulch, pruning, transplanting of perennials,etc. On site interaction with clients to consult, answer questions, etc. Load and unload tools and materials from trucks and trailers, Operation of leaf blowers, hedge trimmers and other power equiptment (with safey training). Participate in learning/training sessions, on the job training. Occasional off site training opportunities. Position is seasonal-April-Early November.

Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License/Cell phone
• Reliable transportation-local travel required
• Passion for plants and gardening/nature
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Willing and eager to learn
• Reliable and Punctual

Relevant Experience:

The ideal candidate has hands on gardening, landscape or agricultural experience-personal or professional- in maintenance or installation of plants, gardens, landscapes, etc. Ability to identify common perennials, shrubs, weeds is very helpful. Experience is preferred but we will train. WI Certified Pesticide Applicator License a huge plus. Ongoing on the job training, learning resources and learning opportunities are part of the job.

Listed starting pay listed based on abilities and experience. Future wage increase based on performance and responsibilities. Potential for promotion to leadership roles as Lead Gardener and Crew Leader.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
