Youth Opportunity Hub
Commonpoint Queens is seeking a well-qualified applicant for the Youth Opportunity Hub. The Program Coordinator serves as the primary person in guiding program participants through the culinary training program and completion of certification requirements. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, retention, and completion of the participants and will be responsible for addressing the needs of participants and understanding barriers. The Program Coordinator will adhere to Commonpoint Queen's framework of a holistic (social, emotional, physical, and cognitive) Human Development Model of a family-supported, strength-focused, and hope-engendering practice.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent
- Detail-oriented and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyze, interpret and organize large amounts of data
- Strong communication - verbal and written, analytical, and time management skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Director of College Access and Persistence with developing effective techniques to collect accurate program data.
- Oversees the development and use of our data system: Grouptrail
- Monitors the College Access & Persistence data to ensure it is organized, secure, and accessible.
- Provide administrative support including organizing and maintaining data information.
- Maintain participant and program files for yearly funding review.
- Maintain student activity and enrollment records using our data management system: Grouptrail.
- Prepare data reports for management and interpret any relevant patterns and future predictions.
- Be organized, and complete data entry, as well as other clerical tasks as requested.
- Manage workflow by ensuring deadlines are met and all work is completed correctly.
- Prepare final data analysis reports for stakeholders and funders.
- General reports when appropriate.
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
- Train and inform staff on best practices for using our data system.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Work with the Director to prioritize program needs
- Perform other duties requested by Program Director.
Hours: Part-Time, 19 Hours/Week
Start Date: September 15, 2023
Salary:$19/Hr
