Mercy Imaging Centers a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation provides cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at 16 locations in the greater Sacramento and Woodland areas. Our team of 160 staff members work with our specialty trained and board certified radiologists to provide high quality care to our patients. The locations perform more than 175000 exams annually with the goal of providing top quality imaging compassionate care and timely service with a smile.
The Imagng Assistant works under the supervision of the technologists and/or Centalized Scheduling Department Supervisor to assist in the preparation and performance of patient procedures and exams. The Imaging Assistant in the imaging centers are responsible for transporting or guiding patients within the confines of the imaging center. Imaging Assistants are to gather and compile patient histories priors and pertinent information relating to the patient visit. Imaging Assistants are responsible for distribuiton and release of patient images/imaging reports to outside requesting facilities. Duties for this position vary slightly from one modality to another depending on the nature of the specific modality and center needs. May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Able to assist and transfer safely patients from stretchers and wheelchairs.
- Should be adept in communication with patients physicians and co-workers in a friendly and supportive manner.
- Basic Computer skills required.
- Excellent customer service skills proper phone etiquette and a courteous caring and professional attitude are a must.
- Prior experience with Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) helpful.
- Basic CPR required if working in Imaging Care Center.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
