Responsibilities
Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Registered Nurse
St. John ICU (Surgical ICU) is a high paced 11 bed surgical unit. We specialize in the treatment and management of a vast array of surgical specialties – vascular thoracic and general surgery to name a few. Our staff is dedicated to providing superior care to all patients we are fortunate enough to encounter. We have dedicated surgeons who collaborate with our exceptional nursing team.
Position Summary:
The incumbent provides coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team providing leadership personal/professional development and conducting him/herself professionally.

Qualifications
Minimum:
- 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in critical care at an acute care hospital
- Current California RN License
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Other certifications may be required
