Overview:
As a RN in our Pre/Post Surgery area, your previous experience in acute care and GI Lab adds tremendous value to our nursing team, physicians and patients. This position offers a variety of patient care experiences and is supported by a team of highly skilled seasoned nurses.
Our GI lab consists of 2 active labs and serves both inpatients and outpatients. Our pre/post area consists of 11 beds. Cases include general surgery, GYN, urology, orthopedics and ENT. The close collaboration with the OR and PACU makes this role essential within perioperative services. Our highly skilled GI lab and pre/post nurses are diverse in their critical thinking, versatile in their clinical practice and adaptable to dynamic situations - no two days are the same!
To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. It's also important for you to be flexible and willing to adjust to the variety of work areas on a consistent basis.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care in the pre and post operative care areas.
- Provides direct patient care in the GI Lab and for bedside procedures in the acute care areas, including procedural sedation.
- Call requirements are 1 shift per week and every 3rd weekend- for GI Lab

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 ½ years acute care experience required with GI Lab experience.
- Current and Active CA RN License
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
