The Assistant Branch Manager ensures the operational excellence and integrity of the branch, while maintaining a positive and productive work environment for team members. The duties of an Assistant Branch Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that the transaction center and member service areas are operating within established policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws
  • Ensuring adequate safeguards and controls are in place to protect Commonwealth Credit Union funds, assets, and confidentiality of information
  • Assuming branch responsibilities in the absence of the Branch Manager
  • Assisting in establishing and monitoring goals and programs to meet overall credit union objectives
  • Promoting an environment of cross-selling, problem-solving, and learning
  • Promoting productivity and sound business practices by training and coaching staff in the features and benefits of credit union products and services
  • Reporting any concerns or problems with the facility, or matters interfering with the safe operation of any area under their responsibility
  • Demonstrating leadership skills in the area of staff development and motivation, accountability, sales performance coaching, business development, and administering employee reviews and one-to-one meetings

This is a non-NMLS Registered position; therefore, no detailed information will be provided to our members regarding home equity loans or mortgage loans.

SATURDAY HOURS ARE REQUIRED, WITH THE POTENTIAL OF ASSISTING AT OTHER BRANCH LOCATIONS.

Education

Required

Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.

Experience

Required

Advanced knowledge of credit union operations, laws and regulations
3 years: Minimum experience in a credit union supervisory/management or leadership position
