Job Posting for Low Voltage Technician at Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest
Position Summary:
Low voltage technicians install electrical systems such as fire alarms, security systems, surveillance equipment, and audiovisual or multimedia equipment.
Primary Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Perform comprehensive, onsite equipment installation for our clients including but not limited to low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack build and integration
Diagnostic maintenance of systems and equipment according to contract and customer needs
Identify active voice or data circuits
Install, pull, terminate, repair and replace low voltage cables

All other duties as assigned and required
Required Qualifications:
Basic understanding of electrical construction
Must be able to read blueprints to determine how to best install the components and wiring
Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
Functional understanding of Low Voltage systems
Highly organized, detail-oriented and hard working
Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field
