Description
Looking for a fulfilling career working for an agency that is making positive change in the community? interest in working with a highly motivated team of professionals? the Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) is seeking a Nurse/Administrator in the Paducah area. OCSHCN provides comprehensive services for children and youth with special health care needs through our pediatric specialty clinics, care coordination, case management, therapies, and collaborations.
Supervises Nursing Services in a Specific Region (Paducah Section) providing clinical services and/or Case Management to children with special health care needs.

Supervises Nursing Services in a Specific Region (Paducah Section) providing clinical services and/or Case Management to children with special health care needs.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Acts as program manager to local office, coordinates staff schedules: monitors staff performance to ensure policies and procedures are carried out. Conducts meeting and identifies staff & facility needs. Prepares agency related reports, monitors office budget. Implements & revises local office procedures in alignment with agency policies.
- Establishes, monitors, and evaluates program standards and compliance to align with agency policies and procedures. Conducts quality assurance activities and facilitates compliance with Maternal and Child Health Bureau performance measures, including family centered care and transition activities.
- Acts as Primary Care Coordinator for assigned caseloads. Serves as Case Manager for Non-Direct Services for the Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs clients and Interdisciplinary Team Members. Provides oversight for Clinical Practice.
- Provides health education to patients and families. Develops Patient Education Programs. Supervises and assists with onboarding and training new staff members.
- Appropriately advocates for the Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs families. Collaborates with others internally and externally when necessary. Facilitates family participation when in decision making process. Conducts outreach activities on behalf of the agency.
- Completes performance appraisals on assigned staff. Maintains compliance with Personnel requirements. Initiates disciplinary action appropriately and follows personnel guidelines. Notifies managers and Human Resource Liaison appropriately on human resource related issues.
- Performs Other Duties as Assigned.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrates flexibility and critical thinking.
- Ability to multi-task and delegate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
- Experience in performance and operations management
- Proficient in MS Office

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: See Special Requirements.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
