THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, your clerical-accounting work will support projects and initiatives for workforce development with federal and state funds. You will be reviewing, calculating, and inputting invoices and reports, as well as preparing routine correspondence. Work involves procurement functions including purchase orders, statements of work, contracts, and vendor outreach while also utilizing Microsoft Excel. Our team will rely on you to analyze technical information, submit accurate and complete reports, and communicate clearly and concisely as part of our team. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with one day a month in the office for predetermined in-person bureau/unit meetings to training and other reasons as operationally necessary after the successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an Associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
