THE POSITION
The state of Pennsylvania is currently seeking an individual who is reliable and willing to work at the Delaware Canal State Park Complex.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Park Resource Ranger is responsible for carrying out a diverse range of tasks aimed at ensuring public safety, protecting park facilities, providing visitor services, and promoting awareness of regulations within the Delaware Canal State Park Complex.
The duties of the Park Resource Ranger encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including but not limited to monitoring and maintaining the safety of park visitors, safeguarding park infrastructure, assisting visitors with information and services, and educating the public about park rules and regulations.
In essence, the Park Resource Ranger plays a crucial role in upholding the overall well-being and functionality of the Delaware Canal State Park Complex by actively engaging in activities that contribute to the enjoyment, safety, and preservation of the park environment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Seasonal, full-time employment with no benefits
- Work hours / days vary depending on operational needs, with a 30-minute lunch
- Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements :
- You must possess an active motor vehicle license.
- You must obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements :
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
