Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a MDS Nurse. The MDS Nurse is responsible for the coordination of the RAI process and input of the Minimum Data Set and care plans for residents. This is a part-time, wage position with no benefits. Hours may not exceed 1500 in a year between May 1st – April 30th.
Job Duties
- Sets reference dates in compliance with regulations for the MDS assessments.
- Ensures completion of the CAAs and development of the comprehensive care plan.
- Coordinates IDT meetings and serves as a resource person to all disciplines regarding the RAI process.
- Ensures completion of the MDS in accordance with federal/Medicare regulations and requirements.
- Provides guidance, education and direction to staff and communicates changes in policy and procedure as needed.
Interdisciplinary team in the completion of the MDS ensuring organized nursing services for the residents assigned to the facility.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience completing resident assessment and knowledge of the RAI process and RUG system
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia
- MDS Certification or experience
- Point Click Care
Additional Considerations
- Nursing experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting
