Job Duties

Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute is a state psychiatric inpatient facility, located in Falls Church, Virginia. We are seeking a dependable and highly motivated team player to provide receptionist coverage for our visitor entrance during the weekdays. Some of the responsibilities include answering all incoming calls and assisting with outgoing calls, receiving and checking in visitors, sorting and distributing mail, data entry in spreadsheets, hospital databases, and performing other administrative duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the public, excellent oral and written communication skills, be organized, be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have the ability to work independently.
This position is Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated experience of computer skill competence (i.e. Word and Excel) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Switchboard operator training or multi-line phone experience preferred.
Experience as switchboard operator preferred.
Experience as a receptionist preferred.
