Due to an increase in customer demand and business growth, CommScope is hiring a Stockroom Clerk at our Claremont, NC facility for a 5 day dayshift position!
How You’ll Help Us Connect The World
As the stockroom clerk, you will maintain the stockroom and items. Items may be used in the plant for personal protection, machine repair, cleaning and sanitation, and lubrication. This role will receive and issue these items to the plant floor or support personnel. The items in the stockroom are placed on shelves with heavier items placed strategically for removal and lighter items placed either lowest or highest. Some shelves are quite high, and a ladder is required for getting to these items. Heavier items are moved by hand truck and/or pallet jacks or cherry pickers. The aisles are arranged so these particular lifting devices can be used extensively in this department. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor with oversight by the technical buyer.
More specifically, the stockroom clerk will:
• Maintain accurate stock part levels in all locations. Satellite Stock room management, including stocking and inventory levels.
• Maintain the accuracy of the inventory through cycle counts, reporting, and purchased parts goods receipts. Accurately, process all daily transaction sheets and generate appropriate purchase requisitions to maintain designated levels.
• Working cooperatively with all stockroom clerks to ensure proper handoff between shifts and closely with the primary stockroom maintenance buyer.
• Identify, locate, and issue stockroom items and/or tools to production or maintenance personnel for repair, replacement or other general use in a timely manner. Issue hand tools and other supplies to plant personnel.
• General Administrative support, including making name tags, asset identification tags, and other signs. Responsible for housekeeping in the stock room and satellite locations.
• Gather and kit inventory parts per Maintenance planned work orders. Secure items in designated bins and areas for future use of the maintenance department. Work with maintenance supervisor and maintenance stockroom buyer to establish parts and information for planned work.
• May be asked to perform occasional pickups and deliveries to outside vendors.
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED at an accredited school required.
• Detail-oriented and able to count effectively and accurately.
• Good computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.

• Previous inventory experience in a maintenance environment.
