POSITION SUMMARY: Works within regional crisis programs to provide training, liaison, education and peer support to military groups and veterans, local law enforcement, officers of the court, jail staff and associated community partners
QUALIFICATIONS: High school education with ten years of law enforcement experience to include completion of Crisis Intervention Team training. Ability to work as an effective team player is essential. Must provide own transportation.
SKILL SETS: Organizational and adequate communication skills, process verbal and written instructions, computer proficiency, methodical approach to problem solving, work under stress and tight deadlines, interact effectively with the public and staff, adaptability-able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIORMENTAL DEMANDS: Visual acuity necessary for updating files and completing documents. Hearing and talking is necessary to answer phone and talk with employees and other individuals. Manual dexterity is required to perform work processing and other clerical duties.
