POSITION PURPOSE
The Development Coordinator serves as an integral part of CAP’s development team, working to increase funding for the organization through a variety of activities aimed at maximizing donor/funder engagement and support. This role provides administrative oversight and is responsible for a variety of stewardship activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Annual Giving: Maintain a portfolio of donors providing annual support to CAP.
Donor stewardship: Provide exemplary donor stewardship including gift acknowledgement and donor statements; Conduct research and run donor reports as requested; Schedule donor meetings for staff as requested.
Database management: Maintain a library of donor letters, editing often to ensure timely content; Record gifts and maintain accurate records in donor database (Bloomerang).
Events: Develop and plan donor events and organizational fundraising events in collaboration with Chief Development Officer and Communications Manager to maximize prospect/donor engagement; manage event invites.
Communications: Work with CAP staff to provide development input for written institutional materials as needed; Assist with grant writing and grant reporting as needed; Assist with donor newsletters as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/JOB FACTORS
A/BS in business, communications, social work or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Experience with Bloomerang or other fundraising database preferred.- Experience in event planning preferred.
- Knowledge and curiosity of current development trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong editing skills.
- Goal-oriented with experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Able to juggle multiple projects at a time.
- Keen attention to detail.
