COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM BELKNAP-MERRIMACK COUNTIES, INC. (CAPBM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing assistance for the reduction of poverty, the revitalization of low-income communities, and the empowerment of low-income families and individuals to become or remain financially and socially independent.
CAPBM is looking for a professional, friendly, and reliable Kitchen Assistant who wants to make a difference in the lives of older individuals who are hungry and isolated. As the Cook/Assistant, you will be responsible for the kitchen and dining room for daily lunch meals.
Responsibilities:
- Assures compliance with Safe Food Handling Standards and procedures
- Keeping the kitchen clean
- Packing the Meals on Wheels bags
Hours: This is a Part-Time, 20 hours a week - Monday – Friday

Requirements
- No experience is necessary.
- Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a reliable source of transportation to be used in fulfilling responsibilities of the position and maintain minimum insurance coverage.
- Must be dependable with a courteous demeanor.
- Ability to organize efficient route plans and work under time constraints of food delivery.
- Ability to physically lift coolers containing meals weighing up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and wash coolers.
Employment will require Satisfactory background check results required for the positions, including but not limited to the New Hampshire Department of Safety Criminal record check and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services record check.
