What are the responsibilities and job description for the Blood Donor Recruiter position at Community Blood Bank of NWPA & WNY?
At the Community Blood Bank of NWPA & WNY, we're dedicated to the vital mission of saving lives. As a Regional Mobile Drive Recruiter, you'll play a key role in impacting the communities we serve by coordinating mobile drives throughout the NWPA regional territory, including areas such as Kane, St Mary's, Dubois, Wellsville, and the I86 corridor of western New York.
Responsibilities:
1. Community Liaison: Act as a liaison between the community and the Community Blood Bank, representing CBB in local media and networking groups. Make presentations to local organizations and coordinate with CBB for additional resources and speakers.
2. Donor Education: Educate existing and potential donor groups about the community's blood needs, the local blood program, and the importance of blood donation.
3. Goal Achievement: Ensure the achievement of assigned blood collection goals through effective planning and promotion of donor recruitment activities.
4. Database Management: Utilize computer software to maintain blood drive information, including schedules, logistics, contact information, and donor eligibility details.
5. Recruitment: Recruit new donor groups within the service region through written correspondence and personal contact.
6. Drive Coordination: Schedule corporate, community group, and school mobile blood drives at designated sites within the service area, adhering to quality standards and coordination with CBB staff.
7. Calendar Management: Compile and distribute a monthly calendar schedule of mobile blood drives, keeping it updated with revisions and changes.
8. Promotion and Materials: Customize and distribute promotional materials to support blood drives, donor education, and CBB's mission in the assigned territory, in collaboration with the Communications and Marketing Coordinator.
9. Team Collaboration: Maintain a close working relationship with each blood drive's team leader and coordinate effectively to ensure successful events.
10. Professional Development: Attend conferences in donor recruitment, assist in presentations at events and ceremonies, and contribute to the development of new CBB promotional ideas.
11. Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Donor Recruitment Manager to develop strategies supporting Recruitment and Strategic initiatives.
12. Reach out to donors to provide information about special procedures available to them and educate them on their eligibility. Assist donors in scheduling appointments for special procedures. Maintain records of data associated with special procedures reward programs.
12. Other Duties: Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Executive Director to meet organizational needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Customer Service: 1 year
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel and work remotely 100%.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
