MRI Technologist (Part Time, Days/Evenings)

Job Description:
- MRI Technologists specialize in magnetic resonance imaging scanners to produce images the physician can use to diagnose medical conditions.
MRI Tech Roles and Responsibilities:
- The technologists are under the general supervision of the Special Imaging Supervisor/Director of Imaging Services, and the clinical direction of the Radiology Medical Director.
- The technologist will perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level (not requiring constant supervision) as outlined in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of radiological technology.
- Certified by an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred.
- Licensure by the State Board of Health must be obtained and kept current.
- Registry eligible is acceptable but passage of test must be completed within one year of graduation.
- Minimum of one year specialized training/experience in order to acquire a suitable knowledge of anatomy and physiology and in depth knowledge of MR theory and expertise in scanning procedures and technique.
- Preferred Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification by the ARRT (MR) or meets eligibility requirements for examinations.
- As a condition of employment, the member is required to take and pass the Advanced Specialty Registry within the first year of employment.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for Neonates, Infants, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients/family served.
