Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited body.
- Prefer experience in customer relations.
Schedule:
- 60% (48 hours in a 2 week pay period)
- 8:00am- 4:30pm weekdays
JOB SUMMARY
The Guest Service Associate (GSA) serves as the initial contact for guests arriving at CHWC. This position will provide an outstanding experience and offer a welcoming environment to all patients, visitors, and guests. This role is responsible for greeting patients, assisting patients to their destination, overseeing the traffic in lobby areas, and providing general hospital information. The Guest Services Representative I must have comprehensive knowledge of hospital services, their locations, and key resources to assist any hospital customer.
Essential Job Duties:
- Respond quickly and properly to irregular and emergency situations.
- Actively participates in identifying areas of opportunity to improve the experience for patients and guests.
- Must speak and communicate clearly, professionally and tactfully.
- Be able to multi-task; time management and problem solving skills are essential.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Assist patients and visitors with any needs they may have while in the Hospital.
- Must be able to listen carefully and anticipate guest’s needs. Introduces self by name and job title when speaking in person or by telephone to patients, their families and others.
- Demonstrate honesty, discretion in conduct, and confidentiality in conversations in all areas of work environment.
- Report patient safety concerns and hazardous conditions in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Possess the ability to speak and communicate clearly, professionally and tactfully.
- Protect patients, visitors and employees from harm and reasonable fear of harm.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to push 500 pounds in a wheelchair
- Will be required to perform clean up duty outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
