Position Summary:
The Director of Personnel Compliance oversees all compliance functions related to personnel screening and credentialing personnel in housing and health services programs to ensure we are meeting federal, local, funder and accreditation requirements and standards. The Director of Personnel Compliance is accountable directly to the Vice President of Talent Management and is responsible for supervision of the Audit and Compliance Coordinator and the Credentialing Coordinator.

Highlighted Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains knowledge of compliance related functions in Talent Management, including funder contracts, housing contracts, FirstSource agreements, provider credentialing, HRSA training requirements, and other requirements that serve to keep our organization in compliance.
- Strategically and proactively approaches compliance responsibilities, through reading contractual and other requirements with a critical lens, asking follow-up questions, and notifying supervisor and other members of the team when changes occur.
- Reviews personnel requirements in all funder contracts at time of renewal and disseminates information to supervisees to ensure the audit and onboarding checklists are up to date. Reviews all current and new Housing funder contracts and updates members of the team on an ongoing basis.
- Supports the Audit and Compliance Coordinator by corresponding with contract administrators and auditors on an as needed basis.
- Sends completed provider credentialing packets within a timely manner to the committee so that the packet is fully approved before new providers engage in clinical care.
- Serves as the chairperson of the Credentialing Committee and follows the credentialing policy in relation to committee approvals of new and existing providers.
- Meets with supervisees regularly and provides real-time feedback, training, support, and coaching as needed. Creates meeting agendas, sends meeting agendas in advance when possible, and documents concerns promptly as needed.
- Applies principles learned through diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) trainings and/or trauma informed care trainings (TIC) and leads with a DEI and TIC lens when appropriate.
- Take initiative and makes decisions within the scope of work. Assesses situations independently, thinks critically, and takes action to address issues or make useful recommendations while maintaining a solution-oriented lens.
- Handles sensitive information with care and discretion to ensure confidentiality.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required.
- 5 years of experience in HR, credentialing, auditing, or compliance management required.
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete in a timely and thorough manner.
- Attention to detail and strong organization skills required.
- Ability to work independently and ask for support as needed.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to travel to other sites as needed required.

For over 40 years, we have provided healthcare, housing, and supportive services for under-resourced, underserved and people experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we provide medical, dental, emotional wellness, and care coordination services for the whole family at three locations in DC. Community of Hope also strongly emphasizes maternal and child health, with midwifery practice and the only free-standing birth center in DC.
