What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Specialist position at CommWell Health?

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Assist with colleague relations issues and works with colleagues and leaders to resolve
  • Keep current on employment laws and regulations and assist with any necessary reporting
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding as necessary
  • Assist with new hire orientation
  • Records and enters colleague information into HRIS systems.
  • Assist with Workers Compensation Incident Reporting Process and enters information into the Colleague Incident Reporting record.
  • Assist with Performance Management and Learning Management Systems Administration and assists with setting evaluations up and other required information in. Runs reports Learning Management System as required.
  • Assist with preparing personnel action forms for new hires, termination, promotions, and any other necessary action.
  • Creates colleague ID badge.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Processes all colleague changes as they affect benefit selections (new hire, termination, change in status, etc).
  • Enter changes and terminations into Benefit Administration Systems in a timely manner.
  • Provides colleague and former colleagues employment wage verification.
  • Assists colleagues with benefit related issues
  • Serves as main point of contact for Family Medical Leave and other leaves of absence.
  • Maintain and foster a professional and customer service-oriented attitude among colleagues, customers and visitors.
  • Participate in Eagle Excellence Teams and supports Eagle Excellence initiative.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required.

Experience
Preferred

  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS-Associates degree in related field required-Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred-Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • -Minimum three (3) years directly related Human Resources experience or Administrative support capacity (Preferred). -Experience in health care environment (Preferred)
