What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat Cutter position at Compare Foods Supermarket?
Cuts and prepares all varieties and cuts of meat while operating tools safely. Sells products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions. Helps to verify and unload meat deliveries from trucks. Maintains, fills, and rotates product in meat cases.
Job Responsibilities
- Cutting, deboning, trimming, grinding, weighing and packaging meat and seafood products to specification or customers’ requirements.
- Providing courteous, positive, and efficient customer service; responding to customer inquiries appropriately.
- Taking customer orders via phone
- Creating, maintaining, and rotating retail counter product displays while ensuring safe food storage.
- Maintaining clean equipment and work areas to prevent meat contamination and uphold health and sanitation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring, adjusting, and sharpening cutting and grinding equipment.
- Receiving, inspecting, unloading, and safely storing meat products upon delivery.
- Keeping inventory of meat sales, ordering meat supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Other duties as assigned

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
