CHEF, SOUS - HOURLY (FULL-TIME)

• We are hiring immediately for a CHEF, SOUS - HOURLY (FULL-TIME) position.
• Location: Webster House, 437 Webster Place, Palo Alto, CA, 94301. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-Time: 10:30am - 7:00pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous experience is preferred.

• Essential Duties:
  • Plans the menu, cooks, and prepares meals for 40 residents.  
  • Supervises hourly food service associates. Includes participating in interviewing, scheduling, training, counseling, reviews, and recommending disciplinary action, as appropriate. 
  • Orders product from approved vendors. Maintains purchases within budget. 
  • Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures. 
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures. 
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils. Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area. 
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Relays relevant information directly to supervisor. 
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers. 
  • Keeps up with peak production and service hours. 
  • Monitors and records inventory and deliveries of product and supplies. Tracks product production, consumption, and waste. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
