Job Summary
Working as the Director of Dining Services at Texas State University located in San Marcos, TX, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple food service retail locations on campus. You will manage and lead a team of employees and will be responsible for managing client relationships, profitability, and talent development:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to day food service operation for multiple retail locations
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of managers, supervisors and food service workers
- Maintains client and customer satisfaction for food quality and customer service
- Oversees the hiring, training and development of frontline staff
- P&L and budgeting responsibilities
- Completes all daily, weekly, or financial reports
- Implements and maintains cash handling processes and standards
- Ensures all QA and sanitation standards are maintained
- Contributes to the development of the website and updates social media platforms with new programs/promotions
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A.S. or equivalent experience
- 2 years of retail operational food service management experience
- Retail marketing experience is preferred
- Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing and presentation
- Experience with cash retail operations
- ServSafe Certification is preferred
- Associate’s degree is preferred
