Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meeting Planner to join our team. As a Meeting Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing various corporate meetings and events. This role requires excellent hospitality, organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to organize logistical and planning meetings and manage various areas around costs associated to each event.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute meetings, conferences, and events
- Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including catering, audiovisual equipment, site processes, offsite vendors and visitors
- Organize event orders with internal and external vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine event objectives and requirements
- Coordinate guest services, including registration, accommodations, and transportation
- Market events to target audiences through various channels
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and attendees
- Upsell additional services or products to enhance the event experience
- Assist with fundraising efforts for colleague events
Experience:
- Proven experience in event planning or related field
- Strong hospitality skills
-Experience in Corporate audio visual is a plus
- Experience in logistics and rooms sets is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management for events
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of catering services and menu planning
- Familiarity with event planning software and tools
- Experience in hospitality industry is a plus
