As a Community Living Instructor/Direct Support Professional at SWMPRC, you will be a vital part of our Wellness Team. Your primary responsibilities will include facilitating activities and groups for residents in various program components such as Living Skills, Self-Care Skills, Social Skills, Leisure Skills, and Work Skills. This position requires working closely with individuals with chronic mental health issues to enhance their rehabilitation journey. Various shift options are available to accommodate different schedules.

Essential Job Functions
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for clients' therapeutic growth through program and facility oversight
- Utilize individual and group activities to assist consumers in developing appropriate behaviors and skills
- Implement approved curriculum focused on mental illness management to support community living
- Motivate individuals to maximize their independence through effective methods and techniques
- Provide meaningful individual and group activities tailored to consumers' skill levels and interests
- Assist consumers in accessing mental health services, medical appointments, and other necessary public services
- Guide consumers in utilizing community resources for ongoing social, educational, vocational, and recreational support
- High School/GED required
- At least two (2) years of experience in a mental health related field preferred
- Valid driver's license at the time of hire, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Class E MO driver's license within the 60-day introductory period
