Medication Nurse - Full Time 40 hrs a week
Coupeville and Mt Vernon offices
Compass Health is currently looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse for our Coupeville and Mt. Vernon offices. The LPN provides support to medical providers by preparing patients for examinations, responding to patient phone calls and relaying patient concerns and symptoms to providers, monitoring prescription refills and lab results, preparing clients EHR for upcoming appointments, calling in prescriptions, and administering medications including injectables. Administrative duties may include providing general administrative support by performing a variety of moderately complex clerical duties.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
- Current Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License.
- 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License required including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Thorough knowledge of medication use and potential side effects.
- Thorough knowledge of nursing issues pertaining to the patient population served in the program along with thorough understanding of the nursing process and intervention strategies used to address these issues.
- Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- General computer proficiency, including the ability to utilize electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not include an additional search by DSHS.
