PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR
Job duties will include patient concierge and administration. Training in other areas of the office may also occur, including technician and optical duties if skill ability has been met. The ability to work well with others, support them and direct under doctor-owner guidance, while keeping a professional relationship with all staff is key to success in this position.

Core Responsibilities of the Patient Care Coordinator:
- Answer telephone calls promptly, direct calls to the appropriate department, and schedule patient appointments.
- Greet and check in patients, obtain or update paperwork and collect co-payments as needed.
- Check out patients, collect payments, schedule follow-up appointments.
- Monitoring email, physical mail, maintaining office machines, scanning materials, mailing letters.
- Consistently/daily checking work emails and tasks
- Contact lens – ordering, processes and protocols.
- Performing DE treatments, DE processes and protocols
- Patient recalls
- Respond to medical records requests and referrals
- Ordering/Managing Office Supplies
Additional Responsibilities of the Patient Care Coordinator:
- Work daily and effectively to balance the stress of multiple projects, tasks, conflicting priorities, workload, environmental ambiguity and changing process and protocols.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient service and service excellence.
- Self-management and productive communication with leadership regarding needs for support.
- Consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
- Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Office Manager.
- Perform other duties as requested or required by leadership.
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated skill and proficiency with Windows-based computer applications (MSOffice Suite), other industry-related software (G-suite) and office equipment.
- Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically.
- Maintain excellent interpersonal and cooperative relationships while participating in sectional and cross-functional groups and teams involving management, staff and patients.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities with time constraints and interruptions to meet deadlines.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
