This is an Onsite Desktop support role servicing a large client in Richmond, VA.
Position will report to our onsite Team Lead and will be part of a Team aligned under a Resource Manager and Client Service Delivery Manager.
Work shift is M-F 8am to 5pm
What We Need & What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Responsibilities:
- Desktop Level II support role
- Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures.
- Performs service, repair and/or installation of computer products including system hardware and software.
- Will be involved with imaging PC's, laptops and supporting wired/wireless networking.
- Performs maintenance for various applications and systems
- Consistently provides and updates notes, feedback, or documentation via the appropriate ticketing systems to track and monitor issues. Communicates with customers at all levels of technical and non-technical skill sets. Follow-up with end users to provide status updates as per service level guidelines (SLA's).
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) through the effective use of knowledge management.
- May also be involved in supporting remote users
- Works collaboratively with people within his/her Team.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
Qualifications:
- 3yrs experience working in a Desktop environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of PC and Desktop hardware
- Working technical knowledge of current operating systems, and standards
- Ability to launch and operate desktop diagnostic tools to perform remote diagnostics.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong customer-service orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced in SLA/KPI environment.
- CompTIA A . preferred
- Lenovo Warranty certified preferred.
