Position Summary
Operates various equipment in the metal prep area to feed parts to weld and fabrication.
Core Responsibilities And Tasks
Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
Comply with all Safety guidelines/procedures implemented by the company.
Operate CNC torch tables and other CNC machines with no assistance. Inspect, clean, deburr, and package parts as required by job traveler.
Make tooling offset changes as needed to ensure part quality.
Perform tool and insert changes.
Inspect all tooling before use as required for good quality.
Perform change over and set ups on repeat production parts.
Complete First Piece Inspection sheet on new setups as required.
Complete Operator TPM and 5-S checks daily.
Perform machine adjustments, and minor maintenance and lubrication.
Begin To Learn From Others And Develop Trouble-shooting Skills.
Utilizes MS office products to document and track improvements.
May read and interpret blueprints (product specific).
Begin To Instruct Others And Develop Trouble-shooting Skills.
Learn from other senior operators and begin to develop trouble-shooting skills.
Keep machines in good repair.
Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS - FORMAL EDUCATION Required
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Required
Machine Tool Technology training.
SAP experience.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficient in the use of hand tools.
