Technical Consultant-PCI, Private Cloud Infrastructure

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Consultant – Private Cloud Infrastructure to join our dynamic Private Cloud Infrastructure team. This role includes racking, stacking, cabling, upgrading firmware and applying basic configuration to data center equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with data center components including but not limited to compute, storage, SAN fabric and backup recovery.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Rack, stack and cable data center equipment such as compute, storage, SAN Fabric and backup/recovery components based on provided rack elevations and cabling diagrams
• Upgrade firmware of equipment in line with vendor provided best practices to ensure currency of software
• Perform basic configuration of data center equipment based on provided installation worksheets
• Collaborate with internal and customer IT teams as necessary
• Build rack diagram and cabling layout documentation for customer facing as-built documentation

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of Dell data center components
• Ability to rack, stack and cable neatly while adhering to best practices for cable placement labeling and airflow
• Basic knowledge of network and SAN fabric components and configuration
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of NetApp, Rubrik and Pure Storage data center components
• Familiarity with compute platforms such as Cisco UCS, PowerEdge and PowerEdge/MX
• Knowledge of virtualization products such as VMware.

Position Location

• Candidate should live in one of CDI’s major metropolitan areas (New York City, Philadelphia, or DMV areas)

Compensation:

$115,000 - $138,000 USD Annual
