Description
CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Lab Technician opening for our client in Morrisville, North Carolina.
Location: Morrisville, NC
Duration: 12 months
The Senior Technician will work closely with Mechanical and Thermal Engineers in materials management and prototype hardware modifications.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ship and receive systems and components domestically and internationally
- Manage lab equipment calibration
- Apply thermal couplers to circuit boards, modify heatsinks and fans for thermal studies
- Build prototype cables
- Manage and organize physical lab hardware to include external power supplies, air and thermal chambers
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- Relevant experience working within a hardware product development team
- Experience and highly skilled in instrumenting computer equipment
- Experience preparing and shipping materials
- Self-motivated, must be able to work independently and part of team, able to balance multiple complex tasks, positive, with a problem-solving attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of server/computer hardware technology
- Experience working within a hardware product development lab
- Logistics experience managing import/export requirements and executing worldwide shipments
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
