A role you will love
The Application Business Analyst role is a member of our Agile Product Management Organization in the Computershare Corporate Trust (CCT) group and acts as a liaison between the client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with systemic solutions. You will lead the creation of requirements/user stories, and business process flows, and contribute to creation of test scripts, release notes, job aids, and training materials.
Some of your key responsibilities may include:
- Facilitating discussions with business groups to elicit and validate business and technical requirements
- Providing technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing system enhancements and procedures that are cost-effective and meet business requirements
- Completing current and future state analysis
- Facilitating business process and data modeling tasks, and the capturing of process and data flows for presentation and integration needs, in alignment with the technology and enterprise architecture roadmaps
- Collaborating with the Product Owner to assist in the creation of user stories in the team’s backlog and aid in the sequencing of user stories considering any dependencies. Work with the team to break apart user stories and detail acceptance criteria
- Supporting Product Owners in grooming the Product Backlog
- Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes
- May serve on a team to provide ongoing system support requiring subject matter expertise of the system, its capabilities, underlying data, and change impacts as well as act as a point of contact for user support to end users
- May provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff
- When needed, representing the technical team, in partnership with the Product Owner in meetings with the business
- Daily Stand-ups – provides status on assigned tasks and helps with questions
- Backlog Refinement – reviews prepared documentation and discusses technical requirement details
- Sprint Planning, Reviews and Retros – supporting the teams as needed
- Can take on other scrum team tasks, as appropriate, in supporting a cross functional Agile development team

You will also be able to build and maintain relationships across our business with the ability to influence and negotiate.
Other key skills and experience desired:
- 3 years of experience in technical or business analysis
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology
- Experience of end-to-end business change projects
- Financial Services and/or Outsource Provider working knowledge is of benefit
- BA qualification e.g., ISEB/IIBA an advantage
- Excellent organizational skills and able to manage conflicting demands
- Self-motivated but able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Specific knowledge of the Corporate Trust industry

Compensation. The base pay range for this role is $70,000 - $102,000. This base pay range is specific to these locations: Texas and Minnesota and may not be applicable to other locations.
