What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Representative position at Concerned Care?
Job Purpose:
To develop solid, long-standing relationships with home health, hospice, and palliative care referral sources (decision makers) including but not limited to physicians, acute care hospitals, long-term acute care facilities, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, and nursing homes.
Responsibilities to include by are not limited to:
- Act as main point of contact for all existing and potential referral sources
- Responsible for visiting existing and potential referral sources within the service area including physicians, case managers, social workers, administrators of health care facilities, and other potential referral sources
- Provides routine education on various clinical services offered that benefit the referral source’s patients
- Facilitates effective communication with all current and potential referral sources and responds promptly based on predetermined benchmarks and appropriately to any concerns
- Ability to meet and exceed targeted benchmarks for daily, weekly, and monthly referral source visits
- Proficiently meets and exceeds targeted benchmarks for referrals by payor type, daily, weekly, and monthly
- Provides “lunch and learn” events, attend wellness events, and other company sponsored events for current and potential referral sources
- Maintains precise records of daily activities and referral contact profiles within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Gathers competitor intelligence along with regular market analysis, identifies and targets new and existing services, while providing constant updates to leadership regarding new referral opportunities
- Purses continuous product knowledge and industry trends
- Works collaboratively with Corporate Communications and leadership on the creation and improvement of various marketing tools including brochures, exhibit displays, press releases, and advertising
- Conducts marketing activities ethically and according to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Maintains absolute confidentiality of information as required by state/federal regulations and company policy.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license, valid auto insurance, and dependable transportation are required
- Excellent communication skills are required
- Four years of relevant sales experience with proven success required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration preferred
- Home Health, Hospice, and/or Palliative Care knowledge preferred
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint knowledge required
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience preferred
- Strong routing and time management skills are required
