Electronic Health Record (EHR) Trainer

Concert Health combines a talented and passionate remote care team with innovative technology to bring evidence-based behavioral health services to primary care, pediatric, and women’s health practices and organizations. We provide primary care partners with a comprehensive Collaborative Care solution -- care managers, psychiatric consultants, and technology -- to help identify and treat their patients struggling with a variety of behavioral health diagnoses. Through outcome-driven clinical work, we increase accessibility to behavioral health services and promote symptom reduction one person at a time.

We are looking for a talented electronic health record trainer to join our Training Team.  

About the role

We’re building a comprehensive training experience for our staff, interns, and provider partner organizations that combines the best of synchronous and asynchronous instruction. We’re looking for a talented electronic health record (EHR) trainer to help us effectively teach behavioral health clinicians to use multiple EHRs. Concert Health staff document directly in the electronic health records of our primary care provider partners. As Concert grows, the number of EHRs systems we use grows as well. The ideal candidate is a proven problem-solver passionate about improving patient care through clinician training. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining EHR training programs and resources and facilitating EHR training across multiple EHR platforms. 

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain EHR training programs and resources. This may include virtual instruction, interactive on-demand learning, videos, documents, knowledge checks and other common assessments, and other job aids  
• Review, organize and adapt complex material for varied audiences
• Facilitate group and individual training for new hires and existing staff about multiple EHR platforms and other applications, such as Salesforce
• Provide and track feedback about training attendee progress
• Work with Concert’s implementation team when new provider partners are launched to understand EHR requirements and workflows 
• Assist in the evaluation of employees’ skills and performance, provide support and additional training as requested or required
• Work collaboratively with other teams, including Operations, Quality, Compliance, and Education/Supervision to identify and meet training needs organization-wide
• Suggest updates to existing training material as needed to align with best practices and changes in the organization’s systems, technology, processes, and policies
• Look for new ways to facilitate learning across our remote workforce

What you will need: 

• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week), remotely with a flexible schedule
• Extensive knowledge of EHR systems and workflows such as Athenahealth, Cerner, EPIC, DrChrono, eClinicalWorks, Aprima, Medent, NextGen, Practice Fusion
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in teaching or training electronic health records (EHRs) or electronic medical records (EMRs) one-on-one and in group settings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; you write and speak clearly and concisely, and are fluent in English
• Exceptional attention to detail and organized
• Ability to work well independently, while collaborating with other team members. Serves as a technical resource person to primary care practice staff
• Experience facilitating, training, or teaching according to adult learning principles in a remote environment using Zoom, GoToMeeting, Webex, or similar 
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

• Knowledge of multiple EHRs
• Training experience in primary care environments
• Knowledge of behavioral healthcare
