The position is hybrid, Monday - Wednesday on-site at our Akron, OH office, and Thursday - Friday WFH.

Responsibilities

As our HR Manager, you will:

  • Be an effective listener and problem solver of people's issues.
  • Manage the day-to-day HR Department operation at our Ohio location.
  • Lead by example and communicate all applicable human resources processes to Team Leaders and Team Members relating to disciplinary procedures, recruitment, onboarding, orientation, employee relations, benefits, performance reviews, employment verification, file management, and other HR-related processes.
  • Provide leadership support and training.
  • Provide technical advice and knowledge to others within the human resources discipline.
  • Continue improving programs, policies, practices, and processes associated with meeting the organization's strategic and operational issues.
  • Provide advice and counsel to supervisory and managerial staff on employee discipline and counseling issues
  • Participate in employee relations issues and exit interviewing, referring issues to management for resolution.
  • Be part of the company culture through understanding, supporting, and participating in all elements.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Requires a 4-year degree in Business, HR, or a related field plus 7-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Must possess extreme attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and analytical thinking ability.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Ability to task analyze and problem solve at both a strategic and functional level.
  • The incumbent must meet work deadlines, have regular attendance, and have good oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work with a team.
  • Strong ability to multi-task.
